Happy Father’s Day From DON JON – Watch Tony Danza And Joseph Gordon-Levitt In First Clip

Celebrate Father’s Day with a brand new clip for Relativity Media’s upcoming film, DON JON.

A few of us here at WAMG have seen the film and we can safely say it’s one of them most original and funniest movies you will see all year. A Sundance and SXSW film festival favorite, be sure to catch it in theaters when it’s released on September 27th.

Tony Danza plays Jon Sr., the father of Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) in the latest spot where he is introduced to Jon’s new girlfriend Barbara, played by Scarlett Johansson. Triple-threat Joseph Gordon-Levitt wrote, directed, and stars in this edgy new romantic comedy about searching for true intimacy in a world full of unrealistic expectations.

An appreciation for “dimes” definitely runs in the Martello family. Be sure to check out the hilarious new spot – also featuring Glenne Headly, and witness Jon receiving the ultimate approval from his parents.

Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a strong, handsome, good old fashioned guy. His buddies call him Don Jon due to his ability to “pull” a different woman every weekend, but even the finest fling doesn’t compare to the bliss he finds alone in front of the computer watching pornography. Barbara Sugarman (Scarlett Johansson) is a bright, beautiful, good old fashioned girl. Raised on romantic Hollywood movies, she’s determined to find her Prince Charming and ride off into the sunset. Wrestling with good old fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, Jon and Barbara struggle against a media culture full of false fantasies to try and find true intimacy.

The movie also features the sublime Julianne Moore.
