CINEMATIC TITANIC – Free Tickets Giveaway Contest

By  |  20 Comments

CINEMATIC TITANIC is the live feature-length movie riffing show from the creator and original cast of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000. Like MST3K, the show was created by Joel Hodgson and features the same team that first brought the Peabody award winning cult-classic series to life: TRACE BEAULIEU (Crow, Dr. Forrester), J. Elvsi Weinstein(Tom Servo, Dr. Erhardt), Frank Conniff (TV’s Frank), and Mary Jo Pehl (Pearl Forrester). Cinematic Titanic continues the tradition of riffing on ‘the unfathomable’, ‘the horribly great’, and the just plain ‘cheesy’ movies from the past.

CINEMATIC TITANIC is coming to St. Louis. The St. Charles Family Arena will be hosting Joel and the gang on Saturday, November 17th) starting at 7:30 (doors open at 6:30). The movie that will be riffed on this year is Ted V. Mikel’s 1973 classic DOLL SQUAD starring the late WAMG muse Tura Satana. Tickets are $35-$50 but We Are movie Geeks is giving away 2 pairs of tickets!

Here’s how you can win: tell us which movie riffed on MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 show is your favorite.

The St. Charles family Arena’s website can be found HERE

The contest will end Sunday night November 11th and the the two lucky winners, who will each receive a pair of tickets, will be notified next Monday. GOOD LUCK!

Oh it has to be Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. I love the Christmas themed ones and this one stuck with me because of it’s sci-fi awesomeness.

All worthy candidates, but it must be “Manos: The Hands of Fate.” My favorite line is where Torgo tells his creeped out would-be love interest “I’ll protect you” and Joel riffs, “Yeah, because there are a lot of weird people around here.”

One of my favorite MST3K episodes, and that,s a hard question by the way,has got to be “Godzilla vs megalon” “Do you expect me to talk, No Jet Jaguar i expect you to die” “Rex Stark Eskimo Spy”.Every Joke in the episode is a home run for sure and the great jet jaguar song at the end, priceless

The riffing of “Time of the Apes” made me laugh so hard. Well, the all actually made me laugh, but this one has a special place in my memory and heart for some reason.

“Santa Claus Versus the Martians” was the first one I saw done live by Cinematic Titanic, as well as an episode of MST3K, and I loved it both times, so that’s what I’m picking as my favorite.

“Werewolf” is my favorite as well. It’s just the perfect movie for riffing, in so many wonderful ways. What other movie has a werewolf that sleeps “nose to anus”?

Zombie nightmare with Adam West was brilliant and painfully funny.
