First Look At Hugh Jackman As THE WOLVERINE

Here’s the first look at Hugh Jackman in 20th Century Fox’s THE WOLVERINE, the newest film chronicling  the adventures of the rogue X-Men character from the Marvel Universe. Check out that magnificent photoshopped physique! He sure is in awesome shape, but why doesn’t he have the Wolverine hair?

All we know of the plot so far is that Wolverine travels to Japan to train with a samurai warrior (sounds like RED SUN!). There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw, as Logan/Wolverine confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.What about Wade Wilson/Deadpool, the villain played by Ryan Reynolds in the previous installment? Wasn’t he alive at the end? The film is still in production and the cast seems to be comprised of a lot of Japanese actors I’ve never heard of including Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

THE WOLVERINE is directed by James Mangold (3:10 TO YUMA, WALK THE LINE, KNIGHT AND DAY). with a screenplay from Mark Bomback (TOTAL RECALL 2012, UNSTOPPABLE) and Christopher McQuarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS, VALKYRIE). The film isn’t slated for a U.S. release until next summer (July 26, 2013 to be exact) so Jackman fans will have to make do with his upcoming lead in LES MISERABLES to get their Hugh fix.
