If I had to choose a favorite, it would be Troy. I just love how he started out from a jock to geek, and how sometimes the two clash (like at the halloween party where he had do decide whether to be “cool” or geek and save the day). Mostly though it’s how he and Abed interact. Their bromance can only be described as magic.

Is it strange if I say a tie between Troy and Abed? Or consider them a package deal? They’re hilarious together and their friendship is so sweet, strange and still totaly realistic.

Abed! He’s a bit of a mystery, and it’s been fun as well as a bit touching to learn more and more about him over the course of three seasons. While he makes pop culture references, they are typically more clever than pop culture references on any other show.

I like chevvy chase,…simply because he reminds me of my late father. They had the same sense of humor…as do I. He was one of my favorite comedic icons growing up and still is. Like good wine he has aged well and is still quite a tasteful treat to be enjoyed decade after decade.

Troy. As much as I love the other characters, only Troy has sung the theme to reading rainbow while crying on the bathroom floor. Nobody else can compete with that scene.

Abed is my favorite. He is quirky and different and unlike any other character you see on television. I always love the episodes where Abed has a lead role or drives the plot.

Abed is my favorite character because I feel like I can relate to him in a weird way. With all his weirdness and coolness, I think he is just the greatest character in television history.

My favorite character is Abed. He is the show’s most original character – a quirky, slightly crazy and immensely likable cinephile with some of the show’s best storylines/dialogue. He consistently breaks the Fourth Wall to address the audience, but retains his charm and never appears overly cynical or jaded. Take this quote from ‘Pillows and Blankets’: Abed is “an uncompromising tactical mastermind feared by all, yet unable to pay parking tickets or know left from right without mouthing the Pledge of Allegiance.” He is the heart and soul of the show, and also its brightest spot, with a tendency to go “meta,” according to Jeff. Check out “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas” and “Virtual Systems Analysis” for a closer look at his character. However, my favorite story with Abed has to be “A Fistful of Paintballs/For a Few Paintballs More.” He is an awesome Clint Eastwood-like cowboy in the first part, and a strangely spot-on Han Solo in the second. Love the show, would love the DVD.
