The Tivoli in St. Louis Announces its Midnight Series Line-Up!

By  |  2 Comments

Forget HUNGER GAMES, the real teen slaughter Olympics is BATTLE ROYALE and it is finally making its big-screen debut in St. Louis! And so is Tobe Hooper’s 2004 remake of THE TOOLBOX MURDERS with star (and St. Louis native) Brent Roam in person no less! And who can forget THE ROOM (you know you can’t – no matter how hard you try!). These movies and more are on the new schedule for St. Louis’ Tivoli Theater’s Reel Late Midnight series! Some ’80s cult midnight standards comprise much of the schedule but the Tivoli is reaching all the way back to 1954 to present Alfred Hitchcock’s REAR WINDOW (look for our Top Ten Tuesday – The Best of Alfred Hitchcock article next week and see where REAR WINDOW places – it’s up there!) All films are shown in the Tivoli’s large auditorium. We Are Movie Geek’s own Tom Stockman will be there each night with trivia questions about the films and always has DVDs, posters, and other cool stuff to give away. Ticket prices are $8 (except ROCKY HORROR which is $10). We hope to see everyone late at night this Spring. Here’s the Reel Late Midnight schedule for April and May:

April 6-7 – ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW – with live cast and live music with Samurai Electricians

April 13-14 – SPACEBALLS

April 13-14 – BATTLE ROYALE

April 20-21 – BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA

April 20-21 – THE ROOM

April 27-28 – MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL with 10 minutes of new footage! (also playing at regular showtimes on Qube)

April 27-28 – REAR WINDOW

May 4-5 – ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

May 11-12 – SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

May 11-12 –  THE TOOLBOX MURDERS – With star Brent Roam in person!

May 18-19 - MAJOR LEAGUE

May 18-19 – THE ROOM

May 25-26 – THE BIG LEBOWSKI

May 25-26 – John Carpenter’s THE THING (1982)

The Tivoli is located at 6350 Delmar in The Loop. Visit Landmark’s The Tivoli’s website HERE

Sounds like an intersting movie. Clearly Henry is from Indiana since we do love our “culture!”
