Check out these new photos from Paramount Pictures’ CAPTAIN AMERICA.

In the above photo we get to see special agent Peggy Carter in action on a 1940’s street corner. Could she be returning fire on an escaping Nazi/Hydra agent that infiltrated the top secret lab that houses “Operation: Rebirth”? Below, we’ve got a nice behind the scene shot of that lab set. Not sure if that’s Joe Johnson talking to the actor playing the pre- “Super Soldier” formula Steve Rogers. Next is another behind the scenes outdoor shot of Carter rising up out of an army jeep. Maybe she spots Cap with the Howling Commandos. The next is a shot we’ve seen before of the Sentinel of Liberty himself, played by Chris Evans, standing in front of a special combat unit. Could they be the men with flame throwers menacing Cap in the trailer? We’ll know more in July, true believers!

In case you missed it, here’s another look at the trailer that debuted last week.

Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.  As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

I can already see one screw-up. That’s a 1952 or 53 Buick blowing up in that top picture, a model from 7 or 8 years after WW2.
