Oscar’s Site Revamped and Upcoming Guild Noms

With Hollywood’s (and my) High Holy Day fast approaching, AMPAS gave their site, Oscars.org, a major overhaul and its beautimous!!! And about time too. It stands to reason – new producers, new director, new set designer, new music conductor, new and much improved host, Hugh Jackman.

For those interested, Tom O’Neil over at The Gold Derby has posted a list of key dates during the Awards Season. The major guilds announce their nominations this week – this will tell us which way the wind’s blowing… First out is the PGA nominations tomorrow. EW’s Dave Karger has even predicted that ‘The Dark Knight’ will indeed make the list for Best Picture. Hmmm… We’ll see what the guilds have to say… What 5 would you choose for Best Picture?

Scripter noms – Jan. 7
Writers Guild of America nominations – Jan. 7
NAACP Image Awards nominations – Jan. 7
Critics Choice Awards – Jan. 8
