Coming Soon: ‘Mister Lonely’

When I first heard about Mister Lonely, I must admit that I was skeptical about the story’s premise. A young American Michael Jackson look-alike (Diego Luna) in Paris meets Marilyn Monroe impersonator (Samantha Morton). Jackson and Monroe start falling for each other and Monroe invites Jackson back to her commune in Scotland, where she lives with Charlie Chaplin and her daughter, Shirley Temple.

The trailer looks absolutely adorable (click here to see the trailer) and the film is directed by one of my favorite directors, Harmony Korine. Harmony might best be known for co-writing the 90’s docu-drama Kids and directing, Gummo.
